Terms of Service

TipMeL8r is a proof-of-concept tipping platform exclusively for independent gig workers — cleaners, delivery riders, pet sitters, rideshare drivers, handymen, salon & beauty professionals, movers, and similar independent workers. TipMeL8r lets a worker share one QR code / link so a customer can send a tip immediately ("Tip Now") or schedule one for a future date ("Tip L8r").

TipMeL8r is not an employer, staffing agency, payroll provider, or gig-work marketplace. We do not arrange, supervise, or guarantee any gig work. We are not a party to the underlying service a worker performs for a customer.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to create a worker account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Signing up and using TipMeL8r as a worker is, and will remain, free.

All payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). When a customer sends or schedules a tip, they enter their payment details directly on Stripe's secure, hosted checkout page — TipMeL8r never receives, stores, or has access to full card numbers.

Tip Now charges the customer's payment method immediately. Tip L8r securely saves the customer's payment method now and automatically charges it, without further action from the customer, on the date they selected.

Every scheduled ("Tip L8r") tip is pending until the charge actually succeeds. A tip is never guaranteed — the customer's card may be declined, expired, or canceled, or the customer may cancel before the charge date. TipMeL8r does not advance, front, or guarantee payment of any pending or scheduled tip.

Workers who wish to receive tips must connect a Stripe Express account through Stripe Connect. Payouts from that account to a worker's bank are governed directly by Stripe's own terms and timelines, not by TipMeL8r.

Customers may optionally add a small voluntary contribution to support TipMeL8r at checkout. This contribution is separate from, and never deducted out of, the tip amount a worker receives.

Workers are solely responsible for determining and fulfilling their own tax obligations (including income reporting) on tips received through TipMeL8r. Depending on payment volume, Stripe may be required to issue you a Form 1099-K or equivalent tax document directly. TipMeL8r does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice.

• Impersonating another worker or creating a tip page for work you don't actually perform.
• Using TipMeL8r to solicit payment for anything other than a legitimate gratuity for gig work you performed.
• Attempting to charge a customer's payment method without their consent.
• Interfering with, probing, or attempting to bypass TipMeL8r's or Stripe's security.

TipMeL8r is provided on a proof-of-concept, "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that any Tip Now or Tip L8r transaction will succeed, or that any particular payout will arrive on any particular schedule.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TipMeL8r and Online Media Interactive, LLC are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of income or tips, arising from your use of the platform.

As an active pilot, these Terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
